Privacy Policy

The short version

Reading this site requires nothing from you. We do not ask for an email to read a guide and there is no account to create. The only time we collect personal information is when you deliberately send it to us through the matching form.

What we collect

When you request a match. The matching form asks for your name, email address, ZIP code, the kind of care you are looking into and your rough timeline. A phone number and any additional notes are optional. We collect exactly what you type into that form and nothing else.

When you simply browse. We use privacy-preserving analytics to understand which guides get read and where people give up. Depending on configuration this may include Vercel Analytics and Google Tag Manager. These record things like page URL, referrer, approximate location, and device and browser type. We do not use them to build advertising profiles.

Spam protection. The matching form may be protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which performs a browser check to distinguish people from bots.

Why we collect it

• To answer you about care in your area, which is the reason you filled the form in.
• To reply to you, and to send you a confirmation that we received your request.
• To understand which guides are useful so we can write better ones.
• To keep automated spam out of the form.

Who we share it with

Care providers. At the moment, nobody. We do not currently pass your details to care providers, we are not paid to introduce you to anyone, and we do not sell your information to advertisers or data brokers. A person at CherishAging reads what you sent and replies to you directly.

We intend to introduce families to care providers in future, and those introductions may be paid. When that starts, this page will say so before it applies to anything you send us, and the form will tell you at the point you fill it in.

Service providers. We use third parties to run the site. These currently include Vercel (hosting and analytics), Resend (sending email), Cloudflare (spam protection and network), and our content management system’s database and file storage. They process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Nobody else, except where we are legally required to disclose something.

How long we keep it

Match requests are retained while they are useful for following up on your enquiry, and then removed. Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings of the analytics provider.

Your choices

Global Privacy Control. If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, this site does not load its analytics tag at all. There is nothing to switch on and no banner to dismiss: the check runs before the tag would load, and it fails closed, so the tag stays off if the check cannot run. Under California law a GPC signal is treated as a binding opt-out, and we honour it whether or not you live there.

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email privacy@cherishaging.com and we will action it. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information as that term is commonly understood.

You can also stop us collecting anything at all simply by not submitting the form — the guides work fine without it.

Children

This site is intended for adults arranging care for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
